1. About Us
The Scent Atlas (thescentatlas.com) is an independent fragrance discovery and comparison platform. We help people find, compare and order fragrance samples. If you have any questions about these terms, contact us at info@thescentatlas.com.
2. Orders and Payment
When you place an order for samples on The Scent Atlas, payment is processed securely by Stripe. We accept major cards and Klarna. All prices are shown in GBP. Your order is only confirmed once payment has been successfully authorised by our payment provider. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
3. Samples
Our 5ml samples are hand decanted from genuine, full size retail bottles. Each sample is of the fragrance named on the product. Some of the fragrances we list are themselves interpretations or inspired by scents produced by other houses. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any of the brands or designer houses referenced on the site. All brand and fragrance names are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and comparison purposes only. Fragrances can cause skin reactions in some people. Please check the ingredients and patch test before wearing a new fragrance, and stop using it if irritation occurs.
4. Delivery
We deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom only. Orders are dispatched within 1 to 2 working days of payment being confirmed. Delivery is by Royal Mail second class and typically arrives 2 to 4 working days after dispatch. Working days exclude weekends and UK public holidays. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier or for incorrect delivery addresses provided at checkout.
5. Returns
For health and hygiene reasons we are unable to accept change of mind returns on samples once the decant has been opened. If your order arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, contact us at info@thescentatlas.com and we will arrange a replacement or a refund. Unopened samples may be cancelled within 14 days of delivery by contacting us, and we will refund you once they are returned unopened. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
6. Reviews
Reviews submitted to The Scent Atlas must be genuine and based on your own experience of the product. Reviewers may earn free samples through our Free Samples programme, regardless of whether the rating is positive or negative, and this relationship is disclosed alongside reviews and on the Free Samples page. We only remove reviews that contain spam, abuse, unlawful content or material that breaches these terms. We do not pay for positive reviews and we do not remove genuine negative reviews at a brand's request.
7. Liability
The Scent Atlas is provided on an as is basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss arising from the use of the platform, reliance on any opinion or rating shown on the site, or from any fragrance purchased based on information found here. Fragrance is subjective and individual results, including longevity and projection, will vary from person to person. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
