About the original
Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris is a sweet fruity-floral chypre built around ripe red fruits, luminous white flowers and patchouli. Strawberry and raspberry give the opening its juicy sweetness, supported by pear and sparkling citrus. Datura, jasmine, peony and orange blossom create a floral heart before patchouli, white musk and ambrox provide a deeper, more sensual foundation. The result is romantic, sweet and noticeably fruity while retaining the darker patchouli structure characteristic of a modern chypre.
